The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 3:52 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Glasgow Road and Stockport Road. According to the accident report, a 1995 Toyota pickup driven by Dustin James Burke, 2751 220th St., was eastbound when Burke turned left. Burke said he signaled to turn, but may have bumped the turn signal off. Chad Benedict, 2535 Union Ave., was in a 1997 Chrysler Concorde behind Burke. Benedict saw Burke slowing and thought he was preparing to turn right. Benedict began to pass as Burke turned left into his path, and the vehicles collided. Benedict was cited for prohibited passing. Estimated damages are $1,800 to Benedict?s vehicle and $1,000 to Burke?s vehicle.
