The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 5:56 a.m. Thursday on Highway 34. According to the accident report, a 2000 International truck driven by Richard K. Chockley of Plymouth, Ill., was eastbound when it struck an unknown object, possibly a deer. Estimated damages are $1,500 to the truck.
