The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 6:56 a.m. Monday on Jefferson-Van Buren Avenue, Birmingham. According to the accident report, a 2007 Ford pickup driven by Ronald Regan Boyd of Keosauqua was westbound when it hit some potholes, snow and ice. Boyd lost control of the vehicle, which rolled onto its top in the north ditch. Estimated damages are $8,000 to the vehicle.

The sheriff?s office responded to an accident at 4:54 a.m. Monday on Business 34, west of Brookville Road. According to the accident report, a 1998 Nissan pickup driven by Rene Villa of Ottumwa was eastbound when Villa lost control on a hill due to road conditions. The vehicle entered a deep ravine right of the road. Estimated damages are $3,000 to the vehicle.
