Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to two vehicle accidents Sunday:
Allison Mae Hoffman, 90, of Glenview Circle, was driving west in the 2200 block of old Highway 34, lost control and ran off the right side of the road, struck a no passing sign, continued down into ditch and rolled the 2004 Mazda GS, coming to rest on its top. Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to two vehicle accidents Sunday:
Allison Mae Hoffman, 90, of Glenview Circle, was driving west in the 2200 block of old Highway 34, lost control and ran off the right side of the road, struck a no passing sign, continued down into ditch and rolled the 2004 Mazda GS, coming to rest on its top. The vehicle sustained an estimated $8,000 in damages. The deputy noted the vehicle had a bald tire.
Justin Shaun Nielson, 30, of Keosauqua, was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry south on South 32nd Street, ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and ran off the left side, struck and broke a Jefferson County sign. His vehicle sustained an estimated $1,500 in damages.
