Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office reports one deer/vehicle accident: Crystal Fawn Hayes of Lockridge was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox east on Salina Road near Tamarack Avenue at 5:43 p.m. Sunday when she struck a deer on the road, causing an estimated $2,000 in damages to her vehicle.

The sheriff?s office investigated a drug offense at 4:11 p.m. Thursday at Pekin school in Packwood. Jared Trevor Wright, 16, of Batavia was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Friday at 1200 W. Grimes Ave., charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

Mary Louise Paulding of Libertyville was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan west on Fairfield Road in Libertyville and collided with another vehicle at 3:51 p.m. Thursday. Kara Lynn Tarrence of 3207 W. Tyler Ave., driving a 2012 Kia Sedona, was stopped a the stop sign heading north of Washington Street. Tarrence intended to turn right onto Fairfield Road, saw it was clear and proceeded to turn. Paulding turned too soon south onto Washington Street, and the cars collided head-on. Tarrence was taken by Midwest Ambulance and Paulding was transported by private vehicle. Paulding was cited for driving on the wrong side of the street.
