Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office reports a deer/vehicle accident at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 34. Vehicle was driving west on highway, approximately 0.2 mile east of Quince Avenue.
Sheriff deputies responded to an accident at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday at 2442 Glasgow Road. Driver Julia Jeanette Deornellas, 72, said she fell asleep at the wheel, entered the south ditch, ramped the driveway and went through the yard and into the ditch east of the residence. She was transported to Jefferson County Health Center.
