Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office reported an accident involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 34 near Batavia. Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office reported an accident involving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 34 near Batavia. Driver Eric Lee Woodard, 46, of Freemont, and an unnamed rider, were traveling east on Highway 34 when the motorcycle ran off the side of the road near mile marker 203, traveled on the shoulder 306 feet before turning and traveling sideways for 117 feet, then dug into the ground and overturned two or three times, covering a distance of 51 feet before coming to rest. Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $3,500.
