The Jefferson County Sheriff?s office responded to an accident at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, 0.2 miles west of Umber Avenue on Highway 34. According to the accident report, a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Kristen Deidra Logan of West Burlington was eastbound when it struck a deer. Estimated damages to the vehicle are $3,500.

According to the accident report, a 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by Dorothy Rose Brickey of Mount Pleasant was eastbound when it struck a deer. Estimated damages to the vehicle are $1,500.

The sheriff?s office arrested Andres Jesus Flores, 22, of 1000 N. Fourth St., for simple assault at 7:05 p.m. Friday at the corner of 170th Street and Hemlock Avenue.

The sheriff?s office arrested Christina Marie Hotle, 25, of Keosauqua at 3:29 a.m. Sunday at the law center for operating while intoxicated, first offense.
