Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office investigated the report of a theft at 7 p.m. Monday. A blue EZ gold cart with battery charger valued at $800 was reported stolen in Batavia.
Conrad Duane Clark of Lockridge was cited for driving while suspended, failure to prove security against liability and failure to maintain control after an accident at 2:01 p.m. Friday. Clark was driving a 1988 Ford F150, owned by Lloyd Lewis Miner, eastbound on Highway 34 near Nutmeg Avenue. For an unknown reason, Clark crossed the center line, went into the north ditch, drove through the ditch, over a field drive, through a cornfield, through a hayfield, through a woven wire fence, struck and ripped up an oak tree, then collided with a metal building, all on Margaret Steel?s property. Damage is estimated at $800.
