The sheriff?s office responded to an accident at 8:52 p.m. Sunday, 3 miles west of Fairfield on Highway 34. A 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Jayme Lee Liles of Batavia was westbound when it struck a deer. Estimated damages are $3,000 to the vehicle.
