Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office is investigating a theft reported at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday of property owned by ITC Midwest LLC Iowa City, missing from a location in Batavia. Sometime between 3 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Wednesday, the following equipment went missing: a 2010 white Polaris Ranger 4X4 utility/cab with no doors, homemade topper, and fuel card; miscellaneous hand tools; a motor vehicle battery; two spares and wheels for Polaris; three fuel cans; three complete sets of Klein climbing equipment, with ?Scott O Smith? engraved on one set; and 250-feet of hand coiled rolls of copper. The total value of items missing is $23,035.

Sheriff deputies responded to an animal/vehicle accident at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 34 east of Hemlock Avenue.
