Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 4:05 p.m. Saturday. John Harold McComb of Bonapart was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger east on Highway 34, west of Exit 210, he lost control due to ice on the road, entered the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the driver?s side of the vehicle. The Ford had an estimated $8,000 in damages.

Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident at 4:05 p.m. Saturday. John Harold McComb of Bonapart was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger east on Highway 34, west of Exit 210, he lost control due to ice on the road, entered the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on the driver?s side of the vehicle. The Ford had an estimated $8,000 in damages.
The Fairfield Fire Department also responded to the accident. Firefighters used the jaws of life and airbags to extract the driver.
Firefighters responded to a structure fire at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, at Martin?s Auction Center on Brookville Road. An electrical fire in the attic was extinguished with water. An estimated $500 in damages was suffered.
