Sheriff pleads not guilty to OWI
SIGOURNEY (AP) ? Keokuk County Sheriff Jeff Shipley has pleaded not guilty to a drunken driving charge.
He was arrested by an Iowa State Patrol trooper on July 27 in Sigourney. Shipley was off-duty and in a private vehicle.
The Ottumwa Courier said Tuesday that Shipley entered a written plea of not guilty in Keokuk County District Court. Online court records show the plea was filed on Friday. No trial date ...

SIGOURNEY (AP) ? Keokuk County Sheriff Jeff Shipley has pleaded not guilty to a drunken driving charge.
He was arrested by an Iowa State Patrol trooper on July 27 in Sigourney. Shipley was off-duty and in a private vehicle.
The Ottumwa Courier said Tuesday that Shipley entered a written plea of not guilty in Keokuk County District Court. Online court records show the plea was filed on Friday. No trial date was set.
Shipley pleaded guilty in 2008 to drunken boating.
In April, he and two of his deputies were involved in a deadly shootout with a man at a farmhouse near Sigourney. A deputy and the man were killed.
