The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reports the following:
Friday
3:48 a.m. -- A 2002 Chevy S10 pickup driven southbound on Highway 1, about one-half mile south of 130th Street, by Gregory Allen Miller, 44, of Fairfield, struck a deer in the roadway. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $3,500.
