Henry County Sheriff?s Office received a report on Thursday, Aug. 25, of a door-to-door scam operating in the county.
A county resident said two men arrived at his residence and offered to paint the outbuildings. The men claimed that the paint was left over from another job and they were trying to use it up.

A county resident said two men arrived at his residence and offered to paint the outbuildings. The men claimed that the paint was left over from another job and they were trying to use it up.
Officials from the sheriff?s office said residents should be aware of door-to-door scams of this nature which include roofing, painting and asphalt paving. These scams typically involve sub-standard work and higher-than-estimated bills when the work is completed.
