Shots fired, two MP teens face charges
Two individuals have been arrested and two more are expected to be facing charges following an assault.
Nathan Cosgrove, 18, of Mt. Pleasant, and Trequan Cosgrove, 16, of Mt. Pleasant were arrested while charges are pending for Becca Henderson, 18, of Salem, and Christian Chapman, 20, of Mt. Pleasant.

Two individuals have been arrested and two more are expected to be facing charges following an assault.
Nathan Cosgrove, 18, of Mt. Pleasant, and Trequan Cosgrove, 16, of Mt. Pleasant were arrested while charges are pending for Becca Henderson, 18, of Salem, and Christian Chapman, 20, of Mt. Pleasant.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m., on June 27, in the 1800 grid of 265th Street, south of Mt. Pleasant.
According to police reports, a male subject fired a shotgun in the direction of another subject, a female victim who was also struck in the head with a baseball bat.
A description of the vehicle and fleeing suspects were given to law enforcement officers who soon found the individuals in the 1800 grid of Oakland Mills Road.
After an investigation, Nathan Cosgrove was arrested for Class C Felony intimidation with a dangerous weapon. He is being held on a $10,000 bond at the Henry County Sheriff?s Office.
Trequan Cosgrove was charged with willful injury, a class D felony, and aggravated assault with display of a dangerous weapon. Trequan was detained and transported to a juvenile facility.
Further drug paraphernalia and evidence was located in the vehicle. The driver, Henderson, and other passenger, Chapman, both have multiple charges pending for their participation in the incident.
The victim suffered from non-life threatening injuries from the assault.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Mt. Pleasant Police Department and the Department of Corrections Parole High Risk Officer.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
