Shutter work
Travis Schombert, left, and Charlie White sand the many layers of old paint from the 56 historic McElhinny House shutters this morning in the carriage house. Behind them, the tilt rods, which were removed for sanding and painting, hang to dry. White said the work should be completed in a few weeks and the shutters properly re-installed on the house.
