Slick roads cause deadly accident on Spruce Avenue Monday morning

CRAWFORDSVILLE - A Crawfordsville woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-car accident Monday morning.
Police indicated slick conditions were the cause of a two-vehicle accident on Spruce Avenue in Crawfordsville Monday, Nov. 11, in which Elizabeth Jean Pauley was fatally injured.
According to the Washington County Communications media report, a call came in at approximately 8:47 a.m., on Monday, reporting a two vehicle accident in the 3000 block of Spruce Avenue in Crawfordsville. According to the caller, one driver was unconscious.
The Iowa State Patrol crash report identified Elizabeth Jean Pauley, 30, of Crawfordsville, as the driver of a 1992 Mercury Sable, which collided with a 2006 Mercury Silverado driven by Andrew Ryan Kucera, 33, of Ainsworth. Pauley was wearing a seat belt, but was pronounced dead on scene.
Crawfordsville QRS, Crawfordsville Fire, Washington Rescue, Washington Fire, County Roads, Moores MP Amoco, Washington County Ambulance, Beatty Funeral Home and the Iowa State Patrol all responded.
