Slippery road conditions lead to accident
On Nov. 13, 2014, at approximately 5:41 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle accident with injury. The accident occurred in the 200 block of N. Wilson St., according to police reports.
Brent Keaster, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving his 2003 Ford Ranger northbound on Grand Ave., approaching the overpass, when he lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions.

On Nov. 13, 2014, at approximately 5:41 p.m., the Mt. Pleasant Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle accident with injury. The accident occurred in the 200 block of N. Wilson St., according to police reports.
Brent Keaster, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving his 2003 Ford Ranger northbound on Grand Ave., approaching the overpass, when he lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions.
The vehicle traveled down the embankment and struck a utility pole adjacent to Wilson St., snapping it off.
Keaster was taken by ambulance to the Henry County Health Center emergency room.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000. The replacement cost for the utility pole was estimated at $3,000 to $5,000, per Mt. Pleasant Utilities.
