Slippery roads lead to accidents
Two rollovers and a car versus deer accident were reported to the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, all of which occurred on Friday, Jan. 15.
The first single-vehicle rollover accident was in the 2600 grid of Franklin Avenue, just south of Oakland Mills.
Fawn Wathen, of Salem, reported losing control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch were it rolled on to its top. ...

Two rollovers and a car versus deer accident were reported to the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, all of which occurred on Friday, Jan. 15.
The first single-vehicle rollover accident was in the 2600 grid of Franklin Avenue, just south of Oakland Mills.
Fawn Wathen, of Salem, reported losing control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch were it rolled on to its top. Wathen sustained minor injuries.
The second single-vehicle rollover occurred in the 1700 grid of Salem Road, east of Salem.
Janeene Porter lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch where it rolled before landing on its wheels. Possible injuries were reported.
The car-deer accident occurred on Highway 34 near New London. Corey Brown, of Mt. Pleasant, reported striking a deer in the roadway, damaging the front of his vehicle.
Damage was estimated at $2,000 and no injuries were reported.
