Thursday?s winterstorm failed to meet predictions. Meteorologists? predictions ranged upward to 12 inches of snow for the area, accompanied by high winds. However, Mt. Pleasant received just three inches and the high winds never developed either. Still, people were digging out from the snow this morning. Pleasant received just three inches and the high winds never developed either. Still, people were digging out from the snow this morning. A larger storm is predicted for Monday of next week, just in time to create travel problems for those wanting to go to the Iowa State Girls? Basketball Tournament.
