Son?s pickup strikes father
A rural Mt. Pleasant man was injured Oct. 22 when struck by a vehicle operated by his son.
According to the accident report from the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, Todd Barton Sr., 52, rural Mt. Pleasant, was struck by a truck in a grass field near the intersection of 260th Street and Benton Avenue.
The sheriff?s office said Todd Barton Jr., 25, of rural Mt. Pleasant, was driving a GMC pickup.

According to the accident report from the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, Todd Barton Sr., 52, rural Mt. Pleasant, was struck by a truck in a grass field near the intersection of 260th Street and Benton Avenue.
The sheriff?s office said Todd Barton Jr., 25, of rural Mt. Pleasant, was driving a GMC pickup.
Todd Barton Sr. was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
