FAIRFIELD — Jefferson County Secondary Roads Department has announced that motorists should be mindful of a few road projects underway in the county.
One of those is occurring now on the southwest corner of Fairfield, where a construction crew is patching South 32nd Street between Libertyville Road and 216th Street. The road will be down to one lane during construction, and delays are expected. That project began Wednesday and is expected to end on Aug. 12.
From July 26-28, South 32nd Street will be closed to through traffic so that a construction crew can replace the road culverts under the street. Work will begin at 6 a.m. July 26 and end at 4:30 p.m. July 28.
For more information about these and other repairs to the county’s roads, contact the Jefferson County Secondary Roads Department at 641-472-6528.
