Spirit night and a Facetime video highlight homecoming
WASHINGTON - Trashaun Willis and Trina Griffin were crowned homecoming king and queen Thursday night. Griffin was not able to attend in person, but Trashaun FaceTimed her so she could still see and hear the ceremony.
The fall homecoming court sat off to the side of the track watching the festivities. The court included: Trina Griffin, Brynn Beenblossom, Josie Tanner, Kellie Dallmeyer, Hannah Rees, Cooper Reed, Roy Carter, Trashaun Willis, Kael Adam and Wyatt Stout.
The event at Case Field featured performances by the marching band, the drill team and cheer squad. The fall sports teams introduced their seniors and talked about the season so far.
Stands full of parents, classmates and community members cheered for the performances and court throughout the night.
Willis carried his phone with Griffin as he was introduced. Willis is involved in football, basketball and peer helping. He is still deciding on a college to study psychology.
Griffin is involved in soccer and National Honor Society. Griffin's future plans are undecided.
