Spooky spectre
One might be tempted to ask why this turkey vulture is perched on the roof of an abandoned house instead of soaring in the air where they are most often seen. Vultures are raptors that ride on thermals in the sky and use their keen sense of smell to find fresh carcasses. Perhaps this particular vulture lives in the house and is merely guarding his home.
