WASHINGTON — With over 80 vendors signed up, the Washington Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Craft Fair is happening on the square from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6.
“It should be a great day, lots and lots of activity in the park,” Chamber Event Coordinator April Cuddeback said. “It’s usually the first really nice weekend of the season. It’s just a chance to get out, enjoy the downtown … see the people in your community, and enjoy some time outside.”
Cuddeback said registrations continued to pour in during the week leading up to Saturday’s craft show. The Chamber will continue to accept registrations, as space allows, even on the day of the event, although she said a heads up in advance would be appreciated.
The returning craft fair is Cuddeback’s first major project as the Chamber’s new event coordinator. That makes it a little intimidating, but she said help from other staff and a straightforward planning process helped lighten the load.
“I’m feeling excited for this one,” she said. “This is not a hugely complicated event, when it comes down to it. Getting people signed up, getting them a space, they do the work while they’re there.”
