Spring craft fair Saturday in Washington
May. 6, 2021 2:40 pm
The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce has had a fall craft show for years.
This year, the Chamber will have a spring show as well, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Central Park
“We just decided to do it in spring, too,” said Chamber event coordinator Alisha Davis. “There seemed to be a need.”
That need stemmed from other craft shows being canceled or scaled back.
There will be 91 vendors, according to Davis, with a wide ranges of goods to sell — clothing, jewelry and crafts.
There will be seven food vendors.
And if the kids haven’t picked out a Mother’s Day gift yet, they will be able to make one on the bandstand stage at 10 a.m. That event is being sponsored by Repurpose It.
At noon, Jaz It Up, The Village and Earthly Blessings will hold a fashion show featuring mothers and daughters modeling spring trends.
“It’s a great time to get your Mother’s Day gifts,” Davis said.
For those who plan ahead, the 32nd annual fall craft fair will be held Sept. 11.
