A rally for religious freedom will be held at the bandstand in the Fairfield City Square Friday, June 8 from noon to 1 p.m.
According to a press release, similar rallies will be happening simultaneously in Des Moines, Davenport and nation-wide as concerned Americans are calling themselves together in response to the Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandate.
The rallies have been named ?Stand Up For Religious Freedom.?
The press release says that grassroots citizens are taking a stand to raise awareness of how the HHS Mandate threatens religious freedom, because it requires religious organizations to provide in their insurance plans abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives and sterilization procedures, even if it is contrary to their religious teaching.
Concerned citizens are welcome to join in the rally.
