The intersection of S. Locust Street and E. Green Street will not be open by the time school starts on Thursday, Aug. 23, due to construction, possibly disrupting the flow of traffic to and from Lincoln Elementary School. The Jay Street sewer project is wrapping up, however, with Drish Construction continuing north from Warren Street and Jones Contracting placing several independent concrete sections. Depending on the weather, the city hopes to have the street open by the end of August.
