Stimulus funds to help replace bridge
The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors approved a contract with Iowa Bridge and Culvert for the replacement of a bridge over Lick Creek during Monday?s meeting.
County engineer Tom Goff said stimulus funds will cover most of the $356,000 project ? the county will contribute less than $10,000 from its farm-to-market funds to replace the bridge approximately 2.5 miles south of Libertyville on Douds Road.

Goff said April is the latest Iowa Bridge and Culvert may start the project.
Also Monday, the supervisors approved reappointments to two county boards.
