Members of Alexa Kongable?s sixth grade advisory class prepare mulch beds for the community garden, located in Mt. Pleasant. Every Tuesday the students have been helping the Fellowship Cup by bagging food, organizing items at the Quarter Maybe More Store and now assisting in the community garden.
The community garden is a partnership between the Fellowship Cup, First United Methodist Church and Iowa Wesleyan College to grow community gardens for clients of the Fellowship Cup so residents can learn to grow sustainable food.
Those wishing to participate in the community garden can sign up with Fellowship Cup Executive Director Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner beginning in November.
