There was only one major item of business on the agenda for the Henry County Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday, and the item was unanimously approved.
Making the sole business topic was the appointment of Nancy Davis and Roger Gard to the Henry County Board of Adjustment. With the appointments of both Davis and Gard, the board of adjustment is now a full board once again.
Both appointments were made to fill vacant seats after two board members? terms of service were up.
Besides appointments to the Henry County Board of Adjustment, Supervisor Marc Lindeen also gave a quick sub-committee update regarding Southeast Iowa Link. Currently, Link is in the process of beginning HIPAA training and is therefore forming a HIPAA training committee to get that training underway.
In other Link news, Lindeen also informed the board that Optimae Life Services, a partner with Link, has recently purchased a transitional home in Jefferson County.
?Optimae has said that this new home should be running by the end of the first week in March,? said Lindeen.
The purpose of Southeast Iowa Link is to facilitate open and comprehensive services to people facing challenges associated with disability, trauma and mental health issues. Link serves Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Van Buren and Washington counties.
The next Henry County Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. inside the Henry County Courthouse.
All meetings are open to the public. The Henry County Supervisors ask that agenda appointments be scheduled through the Henry County Auditor?s Office.
