FAIRFIELD — The suppression hearing for one of the Fairfield teens charged with murder has been rescheduled to Sept. 1.
The suppression hearing is for Willard Noble Chaiden Miller, one of two teens charged with murdering Fairfield High School Spanish teacher Nohema Graber in November 2021.
The hearing on Sept. 1 refers to evidence that Miller’s attorney is seeking to suppress.
The judge in the case, Shawn Showers, granted a motion by Miller to move his trial to Pottawattamie County because of extensive pretrial publicity. The other Fairfield teen charged with murder in the case, Jeremy Goodale, hasn’t filed a motion for a change of venue. His pretrial hearing is still scheduled for Aug. 1.
Willard Noble Chaiden Miller, 16, of Fairfield, listens during a Friday, May 6, 2022, hearing in Jefferson County District Court in Fairfield. A hearing to suppress evidence in his case has been rescheduled for Sept. 1, according to recently filed court documents. (Joseph Cress/Iowa City Press-Citizen/pool)
