Survivor meal
The Jefferson County Pork Producers and Cropper Walkers relay team joined forces Saturday to put on the survivor meal at the Jefferson County Relay for Life at the Fairfield Middle School. The Jefferson County Pork Producers and Cropper Walkers relay team joined forces Saturday to put on the survivor meal at the Jefferson County Relay for Life at the Fairfield Middle School. The Derby family prepared and served the pork for the meal. Pictured are, from left, Donna Derby, Terry Derby and Eden Derby serving a meal to Mike Ledger. Ledger is a member of the Jefferson County Pork Producers and he helped cook the pork chops that afternoon. The pork producers and cropper walkers served 39 cancer survivors, whose years of survivorship ranged from one year to 59 years and which totaled 565 years.
