SUV strikes car at railroad tracks
A two-vehicle accident on Wednesday, March 23, at the Lincoln Street railroad crossing in Mt. Pleasant didn?t result in injuries, but caused damage to both vehicles.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department said a 2011 Dodge Durango, owned and operated by Ashlei Venghous, of Winfield, was stopped facing south on the north side of the railroad tracks.

A two-vehicle accident on Wednesday, March 23, at the Lincoln Street railroad crossing in Mt. Pleasant didn?t result in injuries, but caused damage to both vehicles.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department said a 2011 Dodge Durango, owned and operated by Ashlei Venghous, of Winfield, was stopped facing south on the north side of the railroad tracks.
A 2012 Chrysler 200, owned and operated by Deborah Cooksey, of Mt. Pleasant, was stopped behind the Venghous? vehicle.
Venghous backed up to turn around and struck the front end of Cooksey?s vehicle. Venghous said she did not see the vehicle behind her.
Combined damage was listed at $2,000.
