The T.T.T. chapter is preparing for its 21st annual Tour of Homes around the Henry County area.
The event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 21, from 1-5 p.m.
There are currently four homes slated to be on tour.
Kathy Nellor, 1703 E. Ashford Ave; Julie Ostby, 2043 Hickory Ave; Maureen Lindeen, 1949 140th St.; and Kendra Ruschill, 2331 210th St. will all be featured.
Visitors will get the opportunity to tour each of the participant's homes, seeing what makes each unique.
It will cost $15 at the door or $12 in advanced for adults. For children under 13, tickets cost $6. Tickets can be purchased at Brown’s Shoe Fit or from a T.T.T. member.
In the Nellor house, visitors can expect to see art, paintings, and crafting projects throughout the house. There are several local artists work, as well. Her father’s handcrafted woodworking projects, and a plethora of antiques also will be featured.
The Ruschill house will be decorated for Christmas. People will find stellar wood ceilings and floors in the three-bedroom, one bathroom home. The kitchen also features a secret pantry. New landscaping work, a new deck surrounding a large pool, and a great view of their pond is another quality of their house.
In the Lindeen household, visitors can expect to experience a beautiful outdoor view from every corner of the house. The four-bedroom, three and a half bathroom home is filled with antiques and items from both Marc and Maureen's family history. The house will too be decorated for Christmas.
The last house is the Ostby home. In the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house, visitors can expect to see woodwork from a 1920s home. Inside, they have wood floors on both the primary and second levels. They have three outdoor spaces for gatherings and entertainment.
One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the Tour of Homes will go directly to sending fourth-grade girls to a summer camp in June.
T.T.T., Time, Talent and Treasures is a national organization of women which was created in Mt. Pleasant in January 1911. Bess Cook Budde and Gladys Stewart Walters began the first chapter in June after seeing that boys had a lot of activities in the summer.
The organization is dedicated to sending girls to camps and more during the summer. Its goal is to provide an educational camping experience for girls that might not have the opportunity otherwise.
