Tenco offers options for redeeming, donating cans

Tenco Industries Inc.?s Fairfield facility has developed a couple of alternative options for redeeming or donating pop cans and bottles.

Donation boxes are now available at the Fairfield and Ottumwa Tenco facilities with all proceeds benefiting individuals with disabilities.

In addition, Fairfield?s facility is introducing a drop-off option for those with a minimum of 1,000 cans and bottles.

Can and bottle drop-off hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone interested in dropping off cans and bottles is encouraged to notify Tenco in advance by calling 472-9233. A refund will be mailed in five to seven business days as cash refunds will not be processed in Fairfield.
