Teresa Mangold to run for Washington County Recorder
Mar. 14, 2022 11:39 am
Teresa Mangold announced her candidacy for Washington County Recorder on Saturday, March 12 at the Washington County Republican Convention.
She will be running as a Republican. Teresa said she would like to thank retiring County Recorder Jo Greiner for her years of service to the county.
Mangold works for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Environmental Services in Washington that serves a 16-county region in the southeast portion of the state. She feels that her 15 years of experience in state government in addition to her experiences in prior employment make her well qualified for the duties and responsibilities of the office of County Recorder.
Mangold was born in Washington and raised on a farm outside of Brighton, graduating Washington High School in 1986. She has lived in various parts of Washington County for the bulk of her life, ranging from Brighton to Kalona. She resides north of Washington with her husband Adam, and they have two grown children, Megan and Mackenzie.
She serves as Treasurer for Hawkeye Cans for Cancer. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, refurbishing furniture, and playing golf and pickleball.
