Just in case motorists don?t know which direction to go as they approach the intersection of Jefferson and Monroe streets, the signage, top photo, provides the information. Crews are in the midst of the process of evening the pavement between the new and old concrete on the streets. Once that is accomplished, Main, Monroe and Jefferson streets will be opened to the travel. According to information from Warner Engineering Associates Inc., of Mt. Pleasant, the engineering firm for the park project, the project is targeted for completion next Friday (Oct. 25). That is well ahead of schedule as the original contract had a completion date of May 2014.
