The art of printing
It?s an art form now, rather than a technology, explained Celene Aubry of Berwyn, Ill., as she aligned the letters to print the word ?COOL? at the annual Midwest and Great Northern Printer?s Fair on Saturday. Aubry learned how to do letterpress printing at Columbia College in Chicago. She first came to the printer?s fair in Mt. Pleasant two or three years ago and saw all the presses running for the first time. Aubry said those interested in the craft need to travel to do it and meet with other printers, coming to fairs such as this one to display their craft, meet with other printers and buy and sell equipment.
