KALONA — Runners of all ages and skill levels gathered at Mid-Prairie Middle School Saturday morning for the district’s annual color run.
Superintendent Mark Schneider thanked sponsors and fired up the crowd with a speech rivaling that of a WWE announcer to get the run started.
Runners took a 1K route around the school property, where various color stations were set up along the way to douse runners with different colors of powdered paint.
The annual run is a fundraiser for the Mid-Prairie Student Boosters.
