FAIRFIELD - Looking forward to the weekend, a variety of events will be taking place for people of all ages to enjoy.

Thursday, Feb. 27

1:30 p.m.: Foreign Affairs Roundtable, Fairfield Public Library. Attendees will discuss, 'The Shoals of Ukraine: Where American Illusions and Great-Power Politics Collide” taken from the January/February 2020 issue of Foreign Affairs.

2 p.m.: Knitter's Clinic, At Home Store

4 p.m.: Lego time, Fairfield Public Library

6 p.m.: Chick Time, Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Brood chicks, build a coop, feeder, and waterer on a budget, using recycled products. Learn the basics of anatomy, care, and protection to ensure your babies grow into healthy chickens.

Friday, Feb. 28

8 a.m. to noon: Blood drive, Jefferson County Health Center

8 a.m.: Pickleball Players Clinic, MIU Recreation Center

Saturday, Feb. 29

8:30 a.m.: Maharishi School Pickleball Tournament, MIU Recreation Center.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Indoor Farmers Market, Fairfield Community Center

7 p.m.: Tru Rev 41, mixed martial arts at Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
