Three northern Iowa economic development groups are merging into a streamlined organization.
The Mason City and Clear Lake economic development groups were entities of the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corp. They?re formally disbanding and merging into the North Iowa Corridor group.
North Iowa Corridor group executive director Brent Willett says the mergers formalize the joint efforts the three groups have been undertaking. He says the groups have been functioning as one but have been operating with three boards.
Willett says the newly constituted Corridor group represents a market of more than 45,000 people.
