Debris in roadway
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office received a report of debris in a roadway. The call was received at approximately 4:28 p.m. The debris was removed from the 1500 grid of U. S. Highway 34.
Civil standby request
The sheriff?s office responded to a request for a civil standby, exactly one half hour after the debris call, at 4:58 p.m. The incident, regarding child custody issues, occurred in the 2100 grid of Racine Avenue.
Rural fire
A utility pole on fire was reported near the intersection of 160th Street and Oasis Avenue. The report was received at approximately 6:14 p.m. The Mt. Union Fire Department responded to the scene. Oasis Avenue was shut down between 170th Street and Highway 78 due to the possibility of power lines falling onto the road while Access Energy crews made the necessary repairs.
