Three taken to hospital following Hwy 34 crash
Three males were taken to area hospitals for injuries following a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 34 and 260th Street, Wednesday evening.

Three males were taken to area hospitals for injuries following a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 34 and 260th Street, Wednesday evening.
According to reports from the Iowa State Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo, driven by Dallas Cheney, 18, of Houghton, was traveling southbound on 260th, crossing Highway 34, at which time he failed to yield the right of way from the median, pulling into the path of a 2003 Kia Sorento, operated by Dalton Elliott, 20, of LaHarpe, Ill.
The force of the impact caused Elliott?s vehicle to rotate counter clockwise and roll into the median. Elliott and another individual involved in the accident were transported by helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Justin Marshall, 27, of Niota, Ill., was also taken to Henry County Health Center by ambulance for treatment of injuries.
The current health statuses of the individuals involved in the incident have not been released at this time.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office assisted the Iowa State Patrol at the scene.
