Three-vehicle accident leads to two citations
Mt. Pleasant Police Department officers responded to a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the intersection of Locust and Washington Streets.

Mt. Pleasant Police Department officers responded to a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the intersection of Locust and Washington Streets.
According to the department?s accident report, a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Mitchell Martin, of Mt. Pleasant, ran into the back of a 2009 GMC Canyon, driven by Jane Protttsman, of Mt. Pleasant. A 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, driven by Jared Holdefer, also of Mt. Pleasant, then ran into the back of the Chevrolet Silverado.
Martin and Holdefer were both issued citations for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance.
No injuries were reported. Assisting the local police department at the scene were the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, Henry County Health Center Ambulance, Henry County Sheriff?s Office and the Iowa State Patrol.
