Three weekend accidents reported in Henry County

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office reported three vehicle accidents that took place over the weekend.
On Oct. 8 at approximately 5:26 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a motor vehicle accident that took place at the intersection of Coppock Road and U.S. Highway 78.
After an investigation, it was found that Robert Adrian of Brighton was driving a green 1977 Ford grain truck.
The vehicle lost the ability to brake and was driven into the ditch.
The vehicle was estimated to be totaled and non-life threating injuries were reported.
Later that day, at approximately 7:11 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a motor vehicle accident that took place in the 1600 grid of U.S. Highway 34.
After an investigation, it was found that Kilee Rodriguez of Fairfield was driving a blue 2015 Chevrolet Cruze.
A deer entered the roadway causing the vehicle to strike the deer.
The repair of the vehicle was estimate to be $6,000, and non-life threating injuries were reported.
On Oct. 9 at approximately 1:56 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Old Highway 34.
An investigation determined that Samuel Carrasco, 19, of Mt. Pleasant, was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Impala when he pulled out in front of a southbound 2018 Chevrolet Colorado truck driven by Robert Newman, 66, of Mt. Pleasant.
Only minor injuries were reported. Both vehicles were considered totaled.
Carrasco was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.
Mt Pleasant Fire, Henry County Health Center Ambulance and Breuer’s Towing assisted on scene.
