Tiger golf wraps up play at Jim Wetherbee memorial invite

GALESBURG, Ill. - The Iowa Wesleyan men's golf team wrapped up play at the Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invite hosted by Knox College. Kirkwood Community College won the event with a team score of 580. Iowa Wesleyan just missed a top ten team finish after shooting a combined score of 659 in the two day invite
Blake Forsythe, a senior from Barden Ridge, Sydney, Australia, and Jaime Suarez, a freshman from Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain, led the Tigers with scores of 156. Forsythe had the low score at the end of day one with a 75 and ended day two with an 81. Suarez was just the opposite, starting the day with an opening round of 81, but improving to a 75 in day two. The pair just missed top twenty individual scoring with a tie for 21st.
Camron Mack, a junior from Kahoka, MO, shaved eight strokes off his opening round score with a day two score of 82. He finished the invite with a final score of 172 to place in a tie for 74th.
Iowa Wesleyan will compete in the Clarke Spring Invitational on Thursday, April 4. They will play at the Galena Golf Club in Galena, Illinois.
