Tigers fall to Saints
ST. LOUIS, Mo. ? The Iowa Wesleyan College women?s? basketball team played an exhibition game at Maryville University in St. Louis on Friday night, falling to the Saints by a score of 88-47.
The Saints had a 36-25 lead at halftime and outscored the Tigers by 30 points in the last half for the win.

The Saints had a 36-25 lead at halftime and outscored the Tigers by 30 points in the last half for the win.
The Saints? Samantha Robison had a game-high 23 points.
Whitney Godden scored 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field and 2-for-2 shooting from the free throw line to lead IWC. Karla Vietinghoff went 4-for-8 from the floor and added 12 points for the Tigers.
Overall, eight different players scored for IWC, but the Saints had a deeper bench: they had 14 players with at least two points.
The Tigers were also outmatched under the basket ? they had just two points in the paint on the night, while Maryville scored 34 of its points in the paint and had 23 second-chance points.
The Saints out-rebounded Wesleyan, 43-30.
Maryville?s Alex Hillyer had a game-high eight rebounds, while Kara Carter led the Tigers with seven. Vietinghoff added five boards for IWC.
The Tigers? Dakota Flesner had a team-high two steals. Four different players had two assists each.
The women will play again Saturday when they host Waldorf at 1 p.m. at Ruble Arena.
