The signs will be posted at many of the entrances to all school district buildings, at Case Field and baseball and softball fields to remind everyone in the community that the use of tobacco is banned from all school district property, inside and out.
The new policy bans the use of tobacco 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, including days when school is not in session and during all school-sponsored and non-school sponsored events.
Persons who violate the policy will be asked to stop their use of tobacco and could be told to leave school premises immediately.
The new policy also bans advertising tobacco products on school property and in alls school publications. Clothing that advertises tobacco products is also banned.
